Delivered in partnership with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, ACLS helps healthcare providers quickly recognize and respond effectively to cardiovascular emergencies.
FOR PROVIDENCE HEALTH CARE STAFF
SkillStat is proud to partner with Providence Health Care to provide this ACLS | BLS Provider course for approved Providence Health Care staff at St. Paul’s Hospital and Mount Saint Joseph Hospital in the following areas:
St. Paul’s Hospital: ICU, CSICU, CICU, PACU, Cath Lab (5CD), ER, Radiology and Respiratory Therapy.
Mount Saint Joseph Hospital: ICU, ER, PACU and Respiratory Therapy.
Once you have approval from your Patient Care Manager (PCM) to attend the course, please register here. If you work in an area not listed above, please discuss the possibility of attending with your PCM.
BLS INCLUDED
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required before completing ACLS and is included in your course package.
CURRENT ACLS & BLS GUIDELINES
The latest Emergency Cardiovascular Care Guidelines were released in October 2025. Our ACLS and BLS courses reflect the current guidelines and practice recommendations.
PREPARATION
Before your course, please complete the ACLS & BLS Blended Online Modules and the Pre-course Self Assessment on the Heart and Stroke Foundation website.
Please note: Access to the online modules must be assigned manually by a member of our team and is usually provided within one business day of registration.
Basic ECG interpretation is a prerequisite skill. Refresh your ECG knowledge with the SkillStat ECG Simulator and explore additional free resources in SkillStat’s Library.
After registering, you will also receive an email with preparation information and links to official documents available online.
